Entrance to Aspen

The City of Aspen approached us with a request to help educate the public about some exciting changes to Aspen. The Entrance to Aspen, as it’s called, is a huge effort, dating back to over 30 years ago, to improve transportation in and out of the city.

We created stunning renders of the proposed New Castle Creek Bridge and produced an accompanying video about the city’s efforts to improve egress. The video covered a bit of the history behind the Entrance to Aspen, the revitalization of the plan, and how the new bridge will benefit the city.

We worked with a local Aspen company, Big Woz Marketing, for their videography service to take b-roll and interview footage. The City of Aspen also provided us with some footage as well.

Production

Using the drone aerials, we used stills of the Aspen roads and landscape and created multiple renderings of the proposed New Castle Creek Bridge. They were tricky renderings, because there is no official design yet, so we had to hint at what the bridge might eventually look like.

We also made a video.

We cut together a Short Version of the original video for their social media.

Teach

With all the video footage we’ve received we were tasked with creating a video to educate the public about the proposed bridge and the design objectives.

Our 2D overlays and motion graphics helped pull it all together.
